There are a number of reasons why Askatu Bakery is unique, even among allergen-free and gluten-free bakeries.

--Rather than just being nut or egg free, we fully omit all of the top-9 food allergens from our entire menu, as well as a long list of additional common allergens such as potato, corn, mustard, etc

--We're a celiac-safe business, not merely gluten-free
--We don't use xanthan gum. That's a big one, for a gluten-free bakery.
--As a standard hiring practice, we only employee workers with prior personal experience around food allergies and other health-related dietary restrictions, either for themselves or a close relationship. This is to ensure that our customers receive service from someone who takes their needs seriously.
